Among the lasers used in skin treatments, surgical lasers (CO2 laser, erbium laser and helium laser), especially CO2 laser, are the most widely used lasers. CO2 laser can be used in the treatment of many skin and mucosal diseases due to its specific wavelength (10600 nm) and the fact that it can be both continuous and pulsed.

 

Er: YAG laser with a wavelength of 2940 nm is also a surgical laser that can be used to treat superficial skin lesions and skin rejuvenation. Among the various lasers available for the treatment of vascular lesions, the dye lasers with a wavelength of 595 nm and the Nd: YAG laser with wavelengths of 1064 and 532 nm are the most commonly used lasers.
